Evaluation of Gladiolus Genotypes at Akbarpur, Moulvibazar

Twelve gladiolus genotypes were collected and evaluated in the Research Field of Regional Agricultural Station, Akbarpur, Moulvibazar, during November 2018 to May 2020 for identifying suitable line(s) commercial cultivation north eastern region Bangladesh. The genotype that produced flower stalk within minimum days planting was GL-Akb-012 (66.16 days.The longest rachis length recorded GL-Akb-003 (80.12 cm) which statistically significant from other eleven genotypes. Plant height varied considerably with highest plant (145.67 lowest GL-Akb-011 (89.33 cm). All general, more than 12 florets per spike, however GL-Akb-001 number spike (17.33). Vase life showed variation, had vase 9 days. weight corm found GL-Akb-004 (320.00 g). In respect variation plants, instance, quality, cormel production characters, most promising cultivation.
